How do we remove the virus from the site?

Removing a virus from a single file is not enough to remove a virus from an entire site. We need to find all the pages of the website infected with a virus and remove the malicious code on all these pages. If a virus remains on at least one page of our site, it will eventually spread throughout the site. So, to remove a virus from a site, you must follow the following sequence:


Update your antivirus and check your computer for viruses and Trojans. If possible, check your computer with several antiviruses. If such a check is not carried out, it is pointless to carry out the following points.

Detect at least one infected file on the site. The most frequently infected files are index, forum, config, login


Find all files with the same modification date by the modified date of the infected file. Add files to them that you did not know existed on your site or you see them for the first time. If you can find a virus inside a file on your own, delete the infected code yourself. If you are not confident in your abilities, then restore the infected files from a backup. Make sure that the backup copy is guaranteed to contain no infected files (for example, you know for sure that the virus appeared on the site in December and you have a backup copy of the files for September). It is better to lose some information or functionality than the entire site.
