Hackers use a blocked Facebook account in several ways to defraud you. Through your profile, they can collect a lot of personal information to use for dishonest purposes. In this case, it is important to react quickly to prevent them.
How to Check if You've Been Hacked?
If you are concerned that your account has been hacked, there is an easy way to verify it. Navigate to the arrow in the upper right corner of your Facebook page and click on it. From the menu, select Settings. Choose "Security", then "Your connections". A list will appear, listing the devices your account has been connected with lately and the locations from which they were made. If there is a login that you do not recognize, it is likely that you are the victim of a hack. Click on "End of Activity" on the right side of the log to end the session. Facebook is packed with security features, you just need to turn them on. Go to the arrow in the upper right corner of your Facebook page , click on it and select Settings. Of the :
- Turn on login alerts so that you receive notifications when your account is logged in. It helps you catch a hacker earlier, before major damage occurs.
- Go to Login Trusts and enable two-factor authentication, then choose an additional layer of total security from the list.
- Go to app passwords and have the tool generate unique passwords for your apps instead of using your Facebook password.
- Click on "Your trusted contacts" and add some close friends or family members who can help you unblock your account if it ever gets hacked.
How to Report an Impostor on Facebook?
To start the process, go to the impostor account and click on the three dots to the right of the Message box in the Cover Photo section at the top of the page. A drop-down menu will appear from which you should select "Report".
A new window appears with three options. “ Report Something shared by the account'', “Report this profile”, and “I want to help this person”. Select “ Report this profile ” and follow the on-screen instructions.
Facebook will then investigate the behavior of the impostor and hopefully delete his account very quickly.
